About

Getting pregnant was easy! Just like they said it would be in High School Health Ed class. It just took three years of planned and scheduled “relations”, one ectopic pregnancy, one Hysterosalpingogram, three cycles of Clomid, laparoscopic surgery, another cycle of Clomid, and viola! Our little Emmalicious was conceived.

About Me:

My name is Mark. At least it used to be. I am now more formally known as “Emma’s Dad”. I am a 42 year old Computer Geek and Electronics enthusiast who loves trying to figure out how things work. I met my beautiful wife Elena (a.k.a. Emma’s Mom) during my Senior year at High School (1987). We had a long distance relationship for 10 months before I broke her heart. As the years passed, we always maintained a good positive relationship and in 1992 I decided that if things were going to work we had to live in the same state. I packed my car with everything that I owned and drove 1,300 miles from New Jersey to Florida. We lived together for four years before we finally tied the knot in 1996. In 2002 I was finally ready to start a family. Both Elena and I were 32 and I felt psychologically ready to give the kind of love and attention that I felt was necessary to raise a child. Three years later our little Emma was born and I don’t know how I ever lived life without her. She is healthy, beautiful, intelligent and I am grateful to have her in my life.

This Website is her space, I am just keeping it warm until she is old enough to blog. She’s five-and-a-half so it’s going to be a while. In the meantime I am documenting my thoughts and our shared experiences so when she is older she will know how profoundly she changed our lives and why she has an eight o’ clock curfew.

So why am I blogging about this?

This entry summarizes it best.
