When you've been trying for an extended period of time, as we have (over 3 years), it takes a certain amount of self-control and restraint to not go off the deep end and paint the baby's room, furnish it, and load it up with stuffed animals and toys for the child you are sure you will one day have. Elena and I have always made it a point not to walk down that path until it was time. I can't say it was easy, and I can't say we didn't window shop on occasion, perhaps bring home an outfit or two. But that's as far as we ever went. Oh yeah... and names of course. For three years we poured over baby books, searching for the perfect name. Then two years ago we found it:

Elena Maria Mark Alexander

A perfect blend. 50% Elena and 50% me.

Middle names are a different story. We have yet to agree on a middle name. We are looking for suggestions though, so if you have any, drop us a line. We would love to hear from you.
